Transforming The World, One Breath at a Time.
The Yogacara Institute, established in 2010 by Radhika Vachani, a devoted student the BKS Iyengar School of Yoga for 25 years. Since 2010, Yogacara has been dedicated to preserving the ancient practice yoga, India's historical legacy and glorious gift to the world through the traditional method of learning, the Guru Shishya Parampara system. This system establishes a unique and sacred relationship between mentor and disciple, enabling the guru to lead the Shishya from ignorance to wisdom, and enlightenment.
Yoga is the study of the mind and body. This ancient practice, when properly guided, encourages an inside journey that enables you to transform emotionally, physically, and mentally. While yoga has spread to most parts of the world, it is frequently seen as a physical exercise, and most practitioners overlook yoga's deeper life practice and wisdom.
At Yogacara, we strive to take our students through a journey that fosters a profound sense of inner balance, strength, and harmony so they can transform their lives, the environments they live in, and live with greater wisdom, love, compassion and interconectedness.
Since the pandemic, Yogacara has now moved to Goa, and will continue to build it's global audience to ensure the continuity of this ancient art.The most powerful tool for self-transformation.
Published in 2017, "Just Breathe, the most powerful tool for self-transformation," addresses the fundamental question - "how do we find peace, permanence, and certainty in a world that is, by its very nature, volatile, impermanent, and uncertain?" Just Breathe reflects the dedication, depth of experience, ethical standards, and practices that form the foundation of all the work conducted at the Institute.
“Yoga is like music. The rhythm of the body, the melody of the mind, and the harmony of the soul creates the symphony of life.” B.K.S. Iyengar
